Our aim of this study is to assess the nutritional status and cardiovascular health in the Peruvian pediatric population. More specifically, alongside an activity and nutritional survey, our measurements will include height, weight, biceps & waist circumference, fat composition, lipid levels, subcutaneous abdominal fat, and a pacer test. The association between a high BMI and an increased risk of co-morbidities is apparent worldwide, and it is our goal to contribute to the education that will lead to awareness and hopeful reduction of this growing problem in Peru.
