Today we toured the pediatric hospital in Lima. It was an eye opening experience as it is the main hospital for children in all of Peru. We were given a tour by a pediatric surgeon through all of the wards, seeing some very sick patients.
After this tour some of the fourth year students walked to the beach and enjoyed the view from a restaurant on the pier.
Later in the evening we toured some ancient ruins in the city, followed by a very nice dinner right next door. We ended the night with some salsa dancing and had to get to sleep early because tomorrow we leave for Iquitos where clinic will take place.
