Another adventurous day in Lima! The group and I woke up bright and early and headed to Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, the largest hospital of its kind in Peru. We got to round at the hospital with the internal medicine doctors, toured the hospital and learned about the most common ailments afflicting the Peruvian population. The group’s getting more and more excited and anxious to head to the Amazon to start working at the medical clinics and providing healthcare to the underserved population.
So far this trip is off to a great start and I’ve had a lot of fun meeting the different students, residents, and attending physicians. The food in Lima has been amazing and the seafood and ceviche around here is incredible!
